The Australian Learning and Teaching Council had two websites that were outsourced for development and maintenance. They needed to bring the websties in-house and establish a development environment.
The Exchange website was developed externally and required to be brought in-house. The web application had become corrupted and needed to be reverse engineered from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6. The reverse engineering timeframe was aligned with a re-vamp of the user interface design to adopt the new marketing design and logo.
Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP development and production environment designed and implemented. SVN Versoin control Server configuration and branch / tag structure created. Web development team structure and team interviews.
User Interface and interaction design and wireframes. Worked with graphic designer to ensure new feel and look was applied to match needed functionality of site.
Web Steer Committee to ensure stakeholder buy in and Senior Management updates. Exchange advocacy within Education Landscape at various Conferences and meet-ups.
ode – The ALTC Exchange was built in Drupal 5. Once brought in-house the internal development team reverse engineered the site and implemented new modules within Drupal 6.
nfrastructure – Virtual environment, Linux (Red Hat Enterprise), LAMP Production and Development Servers, Linux/Windows Desktop environment, Development IDE Eclipse, SVN and Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver for front-end development.
